All cruises depart from the Urangan Marina near the Hervey Bay Boat Club where our courtesy bus will drop you after collection from your accommodation. A crew member will then guide all passengers to the M.V. Amaroo Hervey Bay in time for departure.
Our courtesy bus will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to the Boat Club where you can enjoy a speciality coffee and snack in the air conditioned Coffee Shop while you wait to board the morning tour or enjoy lunch in Sinbad’s Bistro before you depart for your afternoon tour.
We would recommend wearing flat shoes for moving around the boat safely and easily. You should also bring something warm incase it gets cold and a rain coat incase the weather turns (although the M.V Amaroo Hervey Bay does have a fully enclosed cabin) - occasionally the whales may also splash close enough to wet our passengers, which is fun! A hat is a good idea to protect you from the sun.
You should definitely bring your camera, sun glasses, sunscreen, binoculars are great if you have some, a jacket is a good idea and some cash for drinks and souvenirs.
The waters around Hervey Bay are perfect for cruising as Fraser Island shelter us from the worst weather meaning we have calm seas and gentle winds. Furthermore the purpose built vessel the M.V. Amaroo Hervey Bay is extremely stable.
The M.V. Amaroo Hervey Bay features a fully enclosed cabin with excellent viewing options to continue watching the whales even in the worst weather because the whales don’t care, their already wet!
We guarantee that you will see a whale. On the rare occasions that the whales are being elusive and the captain cannot locate any your will be offered a complimentary return trip ticket.
We cannot refund your ticket.
